Michael Bibi Completes “Main Treatment” In Ongoing Battle With Cancer

Truly one of the brightest glimmers of hope for the music industry, Michael Bibi announces the completion of his “main treatment” for cancer.

Earlier this week, the minimal house titan Michael Bibi shared quite a momentous update with the public on Instagram. The picture showed him grinning and chucking up the peace sign outside the Royal Marsden Hospital in Chelsea, London. With utter exuberance, Bibi announced the completion of his “main treatment” for CNS lymphoma, a rare form of brain cancer.

Naturally, the entire music community showed an outpouring of support in the comments section. A force in his own right, the larger-than-life Mochakk commented “❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ YESSSS! CONGRATULATIONS! Keep the strength legend!” Furthermore, Gordo added in his lovable lighthearted fashion, “Where do I sign up for pre sale for come back tour.”

Bibi noted that his “fight against cancer is not over…but for now a break & some extra time to enjoy life. ✌🏼❤️.” In true Groover fashion, Bibi also posted an Instagram story of himself dancing to some pretty groovy tunes in the comfort of his own home. Together with the encouraging news, fans worldwide went wild fantasizing about the next time we might see him play live again.

Fortunately for all, the Solid Grooves king did not keep us waiting long at all. Specifically, Bibi recently uploaded an Instagram story of an airplane window, and another shortly after displaying a coastal landscape. Coincidentally enough, tonight just so happens to be the Solid Grooves closing party at the iconic club DC-10 in Ibiza.

Importantly, the lineup indicates a yet-to-be-announced special guest will be making an appearance. But it seems that the secret is out according to Bibi’s socials.

Needless to say, Michael Bibi pulling up to Solid Grooves Casino Motel tonight solidifies his name in house music history. One thing is for sure, those of us not in attendance are very much experiencing the FOMO right now. To stay updated on Michael Bibi’s journey, click here.

Having grown up just an earshot from Ultra Miami's venue Bayfront Park, it was next to impossible for me not to fall in love with electronic music. My love for music was evidently strong enough for me to write my college essay on festival culture and continue attending Ultra for 10+ years now. I have always had a knack for writing and the power of words, which I continued cultivating through a Philosophy degree in college. Now, I am finishing up law school and hope to merge my passions by working in the music industry. I am an avid traveler and am certainly not afraid to hop on a plane for a music event. My next bucket list items to attend are Tomorrowland in Belgium and ADE in the Netherlands. Though the list could go on forever, some of my favorite artists include Franky Wah, Kevin de Vries, Eli Brown, and John Summit.
