Michael Bibi Suffering From Tinnitus as Music Industry Sends Healing Energy to Producer

Producers and fans alike are flocking to social media to wish Michael Bibi a speedy recovery as he undergoes treatment for tinnitus.

British DJ/producer Michael Bibi recently posted a cryptic announcement canceling his upcoming shows due to tinnitus.  Despite his musical successes, Bibi has been dealing with tinnitus for several years, which is increasingly affecting his ability to perform. First on the list of cancellations were his Teksupport NYC gig as well as EDC Vegas.

Bibi has been open about his hearing struggles and warned the public about the dangers of not wearing earbuds.  Back in 2020, he Tweeted “DJ’s look after your ears, you only get one set.” Late last year, he shared a selfie at a treatment session and implored music lovers to wear hearing protection.

The news of Bibi’s cancellation has shocked the music industry, with many sending love and healing energy to the DJ.  Both fans and fellow artists flocked to social media to send messages of support and encouragement to the artist.  Moreover, several shared their own experiences with tinnitus and offered advice to readers on how to manage the condition.

Among the lot of talents who sent Bibi warm wishes was tech house icon and Solid Grooves comrade PAWSA. Joining him in sending “healing vibes love and energy” was the breakout artist Volaris.  Under his Tweet, the fellow British DJ dropped the link to a UK-based health scheme offering affordable custom earbuds.

Tinnitus is a common condition that affects millions of people worldwide, including many musicians and DJs. The condition worsens due to loud noises and stress and can have a significant impact on quality of life.
