London’s We Are FSTVL Cancels 2024 Event One Month Before Start

We Are FSTVL has released an official Instagram statement explaining the unforeseeable circumstances ultimately leading to cancellation.

London’s biggest electronic music festival, We Are FSTVL, has canceled the 2024 festival year for reasons beyond its control. Ticket holders are searching for answers, asking how this could have happened only four weeks before the festival. Likewise, the stacked-up lineup featuring artists such as Eric Prydz, Gorgon City, Green Velvet, Layla Benitez, will be missed.

Official statement from We Are FSTVL

We Are FSTVL, states they received the news only days before building the grounds for the upcoming weekend. Unfortunately, the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham finally understood that Central Park could not deliver a safe event.

Furthermore, the East London borough states it would not be deemed “healthy or safe” to throw a large-scale event like We Are FSTVL due to this year’s record levels of rainfall. The unfortunate news ends with a promise to all ticket holders that an email regarding refunds will be coming their way in the near future.

In response to the statement, Ticket holders show frustration and disappointment towards the unexpected news from We Are FSTVL. Some even point out how the festival should have never left Upminister. Moreover, most complain that although festival ticket refunds will be issued, most will not be able to receive a refund for their airfare or hotels.

What does this mean for the future of London’s biggest electronic music festival? Further information on refunds and the 2025 year can be found on We Are FSTVL‘s official website.

Yoooo, the homies call me Marz. I am a multidimensional Piscean Latina fairy from Miami-Dade County (no, not Florida). Electronic music has allowed me to appreciate the profound beauty that can be found in finding peace within the chaos. Artists such as Rezz, Skrillex, John Summit, Michael Bibi, and Amtrac blend the two seamlessly, creating a harmonious balance that resonates with me whenever I am on the dancefloor. When I am writing about electronic music, I feel this same balance of peace and chaos moving through me - starting in my hips, filling my heart, and radiating out from my soul. The power of music has brought me to this exact moment, and I only desire that you feel the warmth of the sun through my words.
