Solid Grooves Kicks Off Ibiza Residency with Tribute to Michael Bibi Amid Artist’s Cancer Battle

Solid Grooves began its residency in Ibiza this weekend by honoring founder and friend Michael Bibi.

At their debut show for Solid Grooves Motel Casino at DC10 in Ibiza, DJs kept Michael Bibi in their hearts by acknowledging the founder’s impact on the label and underground electronic music. The opening included PAWSA, Rossko, Dennis Cruz, and others who dedicated their sets to Bibi

Bibi recently shared that he has CNS Lymphoma, a type of cancer affecting the brain and spine. He is currently going through treatment with the support of his friends, family, and thousands of fans.

In the company’s post about Bibi’s cancer battle, they wrote, “As everybody knows, Solid Grooves founder Michael Bibi has been the heart and soul of all things SG for the past decade, taking the brand across the globe and creating a unique family of residents and close friends – all while maturing and growing into an international superstar in his own right.”

“…we hope to have him back with us as soon as possible to make more memories,” they continued. Joseph Capriati commented on one of Solid Groove’s posts, saying, “My set will be for the brother Michael.” PAWSA has been tagging Bibi in all of their posts, including heart emojis and hashtags like #GetWellBibi.

Even with a stacked lineup and amazing grooves, artists and fans acknowledged the absence of Bibi throughout the night and on social media. As the creator of the label and its events, Bibi has been a staple in their scene and changed the game. The producer is continuing to shine brightly in the scene as he faces adversity.

His impact on the scene is being continued by his supporters, fellow artists, and his loved ones. We are sending Michael Bibi positive energy and joining the rest of the community in supporting him on this journey.
