Space Ibiza Expands Presence to Italy with Opening of Space Riccione

The spirit of Space Ibiza will be brought back to life in the picturesque coastal city of Riccione, Italy unveiling a “new generation” club called Space Riccione.

The brains behind the expansion is Pepe Rosello, a legendary Ibiza entertainer who bought Space in 1989, and with his direction, put Playa d’en Bossa on the map. In 2016, Rosello sold Space to Ushuaïa Entertainment, which was then rebranded to the now-famous, Hï Ibiza. After 27 years of nightclub success, Rosello has decided to take his expertise to Italy and reimagine his beloved club in a new location.

Awarded “Best Club in the World” 6-times, Space Ibiza had a legendary reputation in club culture and the music scene. Home to renowned DJ Carl Cox for a 15-year residency, Space Ibiza is where he revolutionized house music – making the venue an international destination for music enthusiasts.

Space Riccione will take over an Italian resort that is “synonymous with entertainment.” It is located near San Marino, and convenient to the Rimini Airport (for those trying to plan a trip). The venue will include Arena, Terrace, Garden, and Lounge areas accompanied by other private spaces. Rosello describes it as a place where, “Love for music and mutual respect, the main characteristics of all our events, will also be central to this new experience, which we all believe in so much.”

The Space Riccione team teased the upcoming super club writing “It’s coming,” on their social media. Accompanied by a list of Italian words that translates to “Freedom, transgression, love, diversity, harmony, friendship, empathy, connection and music.” The campaign unveils a renaissance-like photo that possibly foreshadows the rejuvenation of the Space brand and the impact they plan to have.

‌This joint venture is backed by ECulture, an international equity marketing company, and the Cipriani Group, a world leader in luxury dining. Together they will uphold the Space legacy, and position themselves back in the realm of entertainment industry.
