Bassnectar Cancels Upcoming Event Due to “Health Issues”

Bassnectar has postponed his ‘Boombox’ show in Las Vegas less than two weeks after announcing it because of health issues.

After his show in Atlanta had been canceled, Bassnectar revealed that he would be playing at The Theater at Virgin Hotels in Las Vegas. Days after tickets had gone on sale, the official ticketing website led to a page stating that tickets were no longer available.

One of Bassnectar’s Discord moderators had cited health issues as the reason for the postponement. The moderator had written, “He’s recently been advised that he will need a surgical procedure [as soon as possible].” He further explained that the team decided to wait until Bassnectar had been medically cleared to travel.

Fans of Bassnectar made their frustrations known on social media, some calling it the “last straw” before declaring that they would no longer support the DJ. A few speculated that the show was postponed because of low ticket sales. Bassnectar has had a string of canceled shows since he officially returned with an album in 2023.

Venues have been axing his shows due to alleged sexual misconduct, while the team has stated that Bassnectar is taking time for his health. Last year, he announced a 2-day Halloween show that was subsequently canceled following protests over his playing. Most recently, Gateway Center Arena decided to cancel his show after looking into his sexual assault accusations.

Bassnectar rose to fame in the 2000s and 2010s before being accused of sexual misconduct with minors in 2020. He is currently involved in an ongoing lawsuit

No statements have been made on Bassnectar’s social media accounts about the show’s cancelation. As of now, he does not have any shows scheduled. One of the artist’s moderators shared that “fresh content” and updates are to come from Bassnectar and his team.
