Zhu Drops Surprise Mixtape Exclusively for Discord and Text Subscribers

This past week Zhu fans were in for a surprise when he released a text-only mixtape link of “Musical Chairs Mixtape Volume II”. 

Most of the time when you get a text from an unknown number you ignore or delete it, right? Well, what if that text message came from the huge icon, Zhu? This past week, subscribers to Zhu’s text list and discord were given a huge surprise from the artist. The big surprise you ask? An exclusive Zhu link to “Musical Chairs Mixtape Volume II”. 

Los Angeles-based musician Zhu makes waves in the music industry every chance he gets. With his signature sound that blends elements of house, funk, and R&B he is an icon in the genre. Zhu’s unique approach to music is what earned him a loyal fanbase and critical acclaim. His music is a special mix of electronic and live instrumentation, with the artist himself playing guitar and piano on several tracks. Also, his ability to seamlessly combine different genres and instruments makes him one of the most exciting musicians in the industry.

Zhu’s impact on the music industry extends beyond his own music. He has also founded his own record label, “Mind of a Genius”, which has signed several up-and-coming artists like Mindchatter and Peter $un. With his unique sound, captivating live performances, and innovative approach to music, Zhu certainly established himself as a true trailblazer in the industry. Fans of his musical art and newcomers alike are always eagerly anticipating what he will do next. So, this exclusive release was just what we needed. 

In very Zhu fashion, he made the whole experience something memorable for fans. In order to listen to the mixtape, fans were surprised by a text from the artist last Thursday stating “dropping something new next week. Only on text msg”. Following that, on Tuesday, another text came in letting fans know he made a discord and the drop was happening the following day. Then, on Wednesday, March 1st, everyone received a Dropbox link. This link is where fans were blessed to find his next masterpiece, Musical Chairs Mixtape Vol 2. 

The mixtape is a pristine 23 minutes of groovy vibes. Also, of course, featuring almost all brand-new tracks. The tracks ranged from hip-hop, dubstep, and R&B all intertwined seamlessly into  ZHU’s signature moody atmosphere. Unfortunately, Zhu removed the link to his surprise mixtape due to sample issues. But, since he showcased it exclusively we can expect him to drop the EP live very soon! Until then, you can listen to “Musical Chairs Mixtape Vol 1” below!
