Headhunterz Shares Emotional Message to Fans After Final Performance of 17-Year Career

Headhunterz has posted a heartfelt message recounting his final show and the journey it took to get there.

Willem Rebergen, also known as Headhunterz, played his last show on December 23 at 013 in Tilburg, the Netherlands. After touring for 17 years, the hardstyle legend revealed in September that he had decided to stop performing. Headhunterz has been met with support from every area of the electronic music scene that continued to the end of his final performance.

In the caption, he explained it was a difficult decision and had been unsure how to end this chapter. He went on to thank his musical partner, Wildstylez, who had helped him realize the importance of finishing his career with a sense of closure. He described the impact that touring had on his life.

The sweet message was accompanied by a series of photos and videos from the event. Fans were captured cheering the artist’s name before the MC, Villain, promised that this was not the end for the artist. Fans hung on to every word that Headhunterz said as he spoke with gratitude through tears.

About the moment, the DJ wrote, “All the tears that were shed this night, were tears of pure happiness. I can’t begin to explain how it feels to get this kind of appreciation. To hear your loved ones telling you how they really feel about you.” 

“To witness the complete and utter silence while people were listening to my last words that night to thank them,” he continued. Headhunterz ended the caption by thanking everyone who attended, performed, and supported his final show.
