A Hundred Drums Reveals Special “Fun Fact” About Her Fellow Producer GRiZ

A Hundred Drums took to social media to reveal that she and GRiZ’s birthdays are just two days apart, down to the year.

Gabrielle Watson, also known as A Hundred Drums, celebrated her birthday on May 30, ushering in a new era. She also voiced her love for producer GRiZ, born Grant Kwiecinski, sharing that his birthday is the day after. The two were both born in 1990, making them thirty-three this week.

In her social media posts, she celebrated Gemini season and their birthdays, calling each other “star souls.” She explained how they found out they were born so close together, writing, “I remember we were working on our tune in his studio and I was asking him a bunch of questions lol. When we learned about our shared birthday, it made so much more sense why we vibed!”

Gabrielle Watson, also known as A Hundred Drums, has always been outspoken about the fight for equality and inclusivity. She is an amazing example of using her platform and creativity to bring attention to significant conversations. On the same wave, GRiZ pushes for and speaks out about human rights consistently, exuding positivity through his talent and overall presence.

GRiZ and A Hundred Drums have created a beautiful friendship through music, playing shows, and festivals together and supporting each other’s creations. In electronic music specifically, the two have toured together several times with A Hundred Drums acting as support for GRiZ’s Space Camp and GRiZmas in July.

Based on her adorable dedication to him, it is clear that the two are grateful for each other. The Denver-based producers both experiment with bass, finding influences from reggae, funk, and other genres. Their music brings people together, building strong and accepting communities.

A Hundred Drums and GRiZ were truly meant to connect based on the way the stars aligned thirty-three years ago. Despite not saying anything about working together recently, we are hoping that the day is approaching. Until then, watch the track they teased in November here:
