Eric Prydz Teases New Cirez D EP with Unreleased Tracks

The music industry is swirling with speculation of an upcoming Cirez D EP as Eric Prydz teases a new track.

Better known for his larger-than-life HOLO sets, Eric Prydz hinted at a potential new EP under techno alias Cirez D. This cheeky preview surfaced as Prydz announced a new tour stop at Mexico City’s Sports Palace on December 2nd.  Whether or not the rumors are true, Prydz undoubtedly has a dedicated fan base worldwide waiting for new releases.

The hint came in the form of both an Instagram and Twitter post, featuring his iconic yellow-suited Mouseville astronaut. One Reddit user noted that Adam Beyer played Cirez D’s unreleased track Evacuate on the latest Drumcode Radio. With “Night Vision” confirmed on-the-way, Prydz’s announcement is leading the Twitter-verse to believe a big drop is near.

Eric Prydz’s alias Cirez D embodies his less common yet equally enthralling dark and hypnotic musical vision. Over the years Prydz has amassed several pseudonyms, releasing tracks on Pryda Recordings as well as labels like Mouseville Records. Apart from Pryda, Prydz also has releases under Moo, Sheridan, Dukes of Sluka, AxEr (with Axwell), and A&P Project (with Steve Angello).

Since his first release under Cirez D in 2003, the artist’s alter ego has gained a relentless following. And although Cirez D’s last release was in 2020, Prydz’s cryptic posts on socials certainly stoked the fires for new music. Ironically, he once shared in a radio interview that the alias was born in response to how uninspiring he found progressive house.

If Prydz’s inclusion of the music in his show announcement post holds any significance, perhaps we’ll receive the new EP by year’s end. And if Prydz HOLO shows can teach you anything, it’s that he always saves the best for last! Tickets for Eric Prydz’s are available here, and additional tour dates here.

Having grown up just an earshot from Ultra Miami's venue Bayfront Park, it was next to impossible for me not to fall in love with electronic music. My love for music was evidently strong enough for me to write my college essay on festival culture and continue attending Ultra for 10+ years now. I have always had a knack for writing and the power of words, which I continued cultivating through a Philosophy degree in college. Now, I am finishing up law school and hope to merge my passions by working in the music industry. I am an avid traveler and am certainly not afraid to hop on a plane for a music event. My next bucket list items to attend are Tomorrowland in Belgium and ADE in the Netherlands. Though the list could go on forever, some of my favorite artists include Franky Wah, Kevin de Vries, Eli Brown, and John Summit.
