Elon Musk and Grimes Reveal Their Third Child “Techno Mechanicus”

Amidst internet and celeb drama, Elon Musk and Grimes’ third child’s name has come to light.

Controversial billionaire Elon Musk and experimental artist Grimes have unveiled the name of their third child together: Techno Mechanicus, or “Tau” for short. The revelation of Tau’s existence came as a part of Musk’s latest biography, written by Walter Isaacson, where it was disclosed that Musk desires to support smart individuals in having children.

This marks Grimes and Musk’s third child together, following their firstborn X Æ A-12 (often referred to as X) in 2020 and their daughter, Exa Dark Sideræl Musk, born in 2022. The couple reportedly split when Grimes was pregnant with their second child.

However, the announcement of Techno Mechanicus isn’t without its fair share of drama. Grimes had previously taken to X (formerly Twitter) to express her frustration with Musk over her lack of access to their son, stating (in a now-deleted tweet), “tell Elon to let me see my son or plz respond to my lawyer.” 

The singer and artist also revealed that she had been unaware of two additional children Musk fathered as a sperm donor for an executive named Shivon Zilis, who works at Musk’s company Neuralink. Grimes mentioned that this situation had caused turmoil within her family. Nonetheless, things seem to have settled since then. Grimes later returned to X to share that she had a conversation with Shivon Zilis, which they both found productive and mutually respectful. She apologized to Walter Isaacson for her previous tweets and expressed forgiveness regarding the situation with Zilis and Musk’s twins.

Despite all the drama and public attention, Grimes emphasized her desire to keep her children, including Techno Mechanicus, out of the public eye. She posted, “I wish I could show u how cute little Techno is 👽 but my priority rn is keeping my babies out of the public eye. Plz respect that at this time.”

The revelation of Techno Mechanicus’ name has certainly added another chapter to the ongoing saga of Elon Musk and Grimes’ unconventional family life, characterized by unique names, public spats, and the complexities of modern parenting (or, parenting as a billionaire and international music sensation).
