Two Feet cancels Sol Fest Performance due to Illness

Two Feet has withdrawn from Sol Fest due to illness which was disclosed on the festival’s Instagram account.

Two Feet, the musical endeavor of Bill Dess based out of NYC, had to cancel his Sol Fest performance last weekend due to an unknown illness. The announcement had been shared on the official Sol Fest Instagram account before the weekend event.

Sol Fest is a large music festival hosted in Florida at the Vortex Springs, Ponce De Leon. While attracting attendees and artists from all over the states and the globe, it reigns as one of the premier bass festivals. Having been created in 2003, Sol Fest draws in folks from all walks of life to celebrate creativity and music together.

As a bass-jazz artist, Two Feet had fit the lineup mold perfectly for Sol Fest, having one of the Thursday slots for the kick-off event for when campers and festivalgoers arrive. Hailing from NYC, Two Feet, got his start in soul and jazz bands where he eventually pivoted off into creating more experimental bass music. The beat is more downtempo, creating a moody and sultry sound.

His first hit was “Go F**K Yourself,” which dropped in 2016, launching his next step in his career. Since then, he has amassed over 8 million monthly listeners on streaming platforms such as Spotify. In 2018, he released his first album, ‘A 20 Something F**k,’ which included his hit, “I Feel Like I’m Drowning.” His second album, ‘Shape & Form’ was released in 2022.

In place of Two Feet’s performance, set times were moved to accommodate this change. On the lineup for Thursday, there were sets from Zep, Michael Menert, and Levity and Friends, featuring Lumasi.

Two Feet has recently played in Mexico City and has been dropping teasers of new music on his Instagram for the past few weeks. With the warm welcome of new beats seen on social, hopefully, some new Two Feet music is coming soon.

Hey! I'm Shiv! Music is the greatest part of my life, I remember discovering dubstep when I was 15/16 and my entire life was altered - robot noises?? I needed MORE! Now, I live in NYC and have seen over 60 artists of all genres; my favorites being Odesza, Subtronics, Rezz, Griz, Zeds Dead, John Summit and Kaskade. I am an enjoyer of music and will try everything once, I do not discriminate - there is beauty in all genres (minus country). You can usually find me in a warehouse at 4AM because I am nocturnal and will quite literally never say no to a show.

What's your reaction?
