Kaskade and John Summit Preview New Track During HARD Summer B2B

Industry O.G. Kaskade and rising star John Summit teased their explosive new track collab this weekend at HARD Summer.

This Saturday at HARD Summer in Los Angeles, John Summit celebrated a couple of monumental accomplishments.  First, Summit performed yet another electric B2B set with fellow Chicago native and house music maestro Kaskade.  Moreover, the two confirmed their newest unreleased collaboration on the big stage, a powerful ID featuring Canadian singer MKLA.

As a standalone artist, MKLA boasts impressive features with a multitude of frontrunners on the scene.  The talented vocalist collaborated with Vintage Culture and Adam K on “Save Me,” as well as with Alok & KSHMR on “Let Me Go”.  MKLA is also featured on tracks with Zeds Dead and Rezz, a true testament to her voice’s transcendental beauty.

John Summit took to Twitter to confirm the collaboration as he posted a clip from their B2B captioned, “new one w @kaskade 👀 COME ON!!”. Summit initially previewed the track at his most recent Club Space set in Miami, timing it perfectly at sunrise.  Although the title is still a mystery, fans are already speculating “Come On” or “Fade Out.”

Earlier this year, John Summit released his remix of Kaskade’s timeless track “I Remember” to commemorate its 15-year anniversary.  Clearly, the two talented artists seized the inimitable opportunity to produce a novel and all-at-once multi-generational sound concept.  The melody unquestionably pays homage to Kaskade’s progressive roots, with Summit’s unquestionably catchy basslines rolling throughout.

Ultimately, the track evokes an unmistakable nostalgia that any veteran on the music scene can easily identify. The melody’s entrancing build-up and emotive lyrics are enough to have you playing it on repeat while cruising down the highway. Paired with MKLA’s ethereal vocal additions, the track will undoubtedly be an instant hit on the charts.

While fans await an official release day, we can only hope the track hits streaming platforms ASAP. To stay in the loop on Kaskade’s tour dates and social media, click here and here. To stay in the loop on John Summit’s tour dates and social media, click here and here.

Having grown up just an earshot from Ultra Miami's venue Bayfront Park, it was next to impossible for me not to fall in love with electronic music. My love for music was evidently strong enough for me to write my college essay on festival culture and continue attending Ultra for 10+ years now. I have always had a knack for writing and the power of words, which I continued cultivating through a Philosophy degree in college. Now, I am finishing up law school and hope to merge my passions by working in the music industry. I am an avid traveler and am certainly not afraid to hop on a plane for a music event. My next bucket list items to attend are Tomorrowland in Belgium and ADE in the Netherlands. Though the list could go on forever, some of my favorite artists include Franky Wah, Kevin de Vries, Eli Brown, and John Summit.
