Fans Ask Sullivan King to Officiate Their Wedding at EDC Las Vegas

One courageous fan shot her virtual shot via Twitter, asking Sullivan King to officiate her wedding at EDCLV this summer.

A Sullivan King fan took to Twitter last week to request that he officiate their wedding at the EDC LV.  Specifically, she noted that she met her fiancé at one of his shows, had their first kiss at Take Flight, and got engaged at his recent Lost Lands set. The tweet quickly gained traction, with others supporting the ask for King’s services as their wedding officiant. 

King, known for his heavy metal and electronic music fusion, responded the next day. The artist answered “maybe,” adding that he “usually just show[s] up, ha[s] cake, and hang[s] with the DJ.” The fan mentioned they will marry on Day 1 at the Church of Technology, leaving fans hopeful for King’s attendance.

Twitter users stated that the atmosphere of EDC would make the perfect setting for their wedding. One fan shared a picture of their own wedding at EDCLV 2019, calling it the “best decision we’ve ever made.” It’s certainly not uncommon for fans to marry at the iconic festival, but having a famous musician officiate would clearly add an extra special touch.

Although King has a reputation for being a fan-friendly artist, the musician recently sparked headlines surrounding his religious affiliations. Early last month, a Reddit thread sparked debate after King’s family’s involvement with Scientology came to light. Since he has yet to confirm or deny his involvement, fan debate had continued over his membership.

Despite the recent drama, it’s clear that Sullivan King attracts extremely loyal and doting fans.  While it’s unclear if King will accept the requests to officiate, the idea certainly captured the imagination of music fans across Twitter.

EDCLV is one of the largest electronic music festivals in the world, with tickets selling out within minutes for 2023. Given the sheer scale of the festival, the couple’s nuptials at EDC will unquestionably make for a memorable experience – especially if Sullivan King pulls through.
