Carl Cox to Host Charity Block Party in San Francisco with Nicole Moudaber, Eli Brown, and More

Carl Cox has launched a new charity event to raise funds for Burning Man Sound Camp, Playground.

Carl Cox debuts his charity event which will act as a fundraiser for notable organizations including his iconic Burning Man camp, “Playground.” Cox has put together an all-star lineup including Nicole Moudaber and Eli Brown who will be gracing the Charity Block Party on May 11th.

These artists will come together to raise funds for charities including Roots of Peace, Bridges for Music, Ibiza Preservation Society, and Playground Sound Camp. The event will take place at The Midway in the San Francisco Bayview District and promises to be an unforgettable day and night celebrating diversity, unity, and of course, music.

One of the main institutions being supported at the event is Carl Cox’s legendary Burning Man Sound Camp, Playground, a long-standing establishment in Black Rock City. Curated by Carl Cox himself, Playground was created from the inspiration Cox had after witnessing his first burn in 2008.

Carl Cox is a proud burner and has made every effort to inspire others to come together and celebrate the ethos of Burning Man. With this initiative in mind, Playground was born. Each year, Carol Cox and his team push to make Playground more inclusive and outperform the previous year as it remains a beloved musical and art haven for burners each year.

“It’s not just about the music; it’s about building a community that gives back and where everyone feels welcome and inspired to express themselves freely. Burning Man has always been about pushing boundaries and creating transformative experiences, and Playground embodies that ethos in every beat,” says Carl Cox.

Other artists featured in the line-up this year are Brennen Grey, Syd Girls, and Deep Dish who will be coming together for the first time in nearly 20 years. For more information about the Playground Foundation, check out www.weareplayground.org.

My favorite thing in the whole world is music and after hearing "One" by Swedish House Mafia for the first time in 2014, I was hooked on EDM. Dance music has been a large part of who I am and will always be searching for new ways to incorporate it in my life. The pure bliss that I feel from live shows is a feeling I never want to stop chasing (iykyk). Some of my favorite artists are Flume, Rüfüs Du Sol, Mindchatter, Disclosure, Dom Dolla and Fred Again.. :)
