Dr. Fresch Shares Throwback to First Festival Performance in 2012 Ahead of Headline Show in LA

Dr. Fresch reminisces on his first festival at Shrine LA ahead of headlining the venue for his semi-monthly House Call mix series.

Dr. Fresch is coming full circle at Shrine LA this month. From performing his first festival set at the venue for Dayglow: Life in Color 2012 to headlining it for his semi-monthly House Call mix series, the producer is celebrating the sentiment of his humble beginnings.

Taking to Instagram to share the momentous occasion, Dr. Fresch is hyping up fans for his show on August 25. Revealing a carousel of throwbacks from his early years as a producer, the collection of memories is a testament to the tenacity of his journey.

The post features a variety of images. From recently packed crowds to a Facebook screenshot announcing his festival debut in 2012, it’s clear that Dr. Fresch hasn’t strayed from his unparalleled style throughout the years. His progression from being a young raver sporting neon attire to producing high-energy bangers proves that he’s grown as an artist while staying true to his roots.

Dr. Fresch’s Instagram followers are joining in the excitement. One fan commented, “Only 90s babies remember the excellence of dayglow.” Another responded, “This repaired my life in color PTSD.” Even DIESEL, aka Shaquille O’Neal, commented, “Hell yeah! That’s what I’m talking about.”

Well-known for eclectic electronic music, Dr. Fresch fuses elements of bass and house. Constantly evolving his sound and presence, the producer has been on a roll lately after opening up about health complications earlier this year. In 2023, he’s been pumping out heaters on his label, House Call Records. This summer alone, he released the EP, “Shot Callers Vol. 2” ahead of his newest single, ‘Certified.’ The label also features tracks from Riot Ten, Michael Sparks, BIJOU, and more.

Dr. Fresch’s upcoming show at Shrine LA is gearing up to be an incredible boiler room-style event. With supporting sets from Nostalgix, Corrupt B2B SHIFT K3Y, CHYL, and a special B2B with DESTRUCTO and Dr. Fresch, this show is truly an all-encompassing celebration of the producer’s hard work throughout the years.
