NuBass Shares Multidimensional “Magic Carpet” Collab with Michael Sparks for Rare Bass-House Release on Spinnin’ RECORDS

London bass producer NuBass reveals new single “Magic Carpet” in collaboration with Michael Sparks on Spinnin’ Records.

London producer NuBass is solidifying his name in the bass scene. With the release of his new single “Magic Carpet” in collaboration with Michael Sparks, NuBass is emerging with high energy and multidimensional style.

Released on August 4 via Spinnin’ Records, “Magic Carpet” is a hypnotizing house tune that ignites upbeat bass with underground grit. Also known as Ben Fellows, NuBass is established for balancing bouncy beats with darkness on the dancefloor and has been rising to the top since 2017. From debuting on Night Bass Records in 2019 with his EP ‘Fuego’ to collaborating with bass house boss AC Slater on their 2023 single “Lose My Mind,” he has been recognized as an up-and-coming star in the genre. 

Lauded by legends like Skrillex, Chris Lorenzo, and Moksi, NuBass is becoming an unstoppable force for his experimental approach. His single “Magic Carpet” blends the London producer’s bass-forward approach with Montreal native Michael Sparks’ groovy, yet boisterous, range. 

NuBass exclusively spoke to Exron Music regarding the single and what it says about his overall style and production methods:

“I think it shows that my music production isn’t static and one dimensional. “Magic Carpet” is a fresh take on bass music with Middle Eastern influences. Bass music doesn’t usually feature on Spinnin’ Records so the fact they have come onboard to release is such a great outcome. Always good to take risks!”

Being featured on Frankie Polari’s 2022 release “What You Say” and reaching over 4 million plays on Spotify positions NuBass to be the bass-forward producer who can do it all. Coming off of a successful string of releases in 2023, “Magic Carpet” is keeping the momentum going. He started the year off strong with another Night Bass release, “Toxic” featuring MPH and Rhiannon Roze, and followed that with the single “Knock Knock VIP” featuring Deppz. 

Paving the way for his future, NuBass stays true to his signature style while always bringing something new to the table. Now, he is preparing for a stacked tour schedule. Appearing in New Zealand, Australia, Japan, the UK, and more, NuBass is seeing years of grinding come to fruition during the second half of this summer.
