SVDDEN DEATH Cancels Hawaii Shows and Donates Thousands to Relief Efforts

Not only does SVDDEN DEATH cancels his upcoming Hawaii show in the wake of the devastating fires and out of respect for the victims, but he donates $10k to a charity that will provide direct support to those affected. 

Dubstep DJ SVDDEN DEATH reaches philanthropist status after donating a steep $10k to those directly affected by the fires on the Hawaiian island Maui. The artist took to social media earlier this week to share the news, attempting to shed a bit of light on the devastation that has overcome the Hawaiian people recently. 

The DJ was originally scheduled to play in Honolulu which is located on the Island of Oahu this coming Friday and Saturday. However, he chose to cancel both events to respect the victims of the fires and the people of Hawaii. He would’ve played at a nightclub called The Republik, where EDM DJs and fans frequent while visiting the island. Support for the two-day event included UBUR and Prosecute.

In addition to the $10k pledge, SVDDEN DEATH has created an initiative to encourage his fans to donate as well. In an Instagram and Twitter post, SVDDEN DEATH wrote, “Ive been playing shows in Hawaii for a couple of years now and it didn’t feel right going this year with everything the people of Maui have been going through. So instead of playing a show there this weekend ive decided to donate $10,000 to the Hawaii Peoples Fund, to help provide immediate relief to those directly impacted by the wildfires in Maui. And we will be rescheduling these shows for 2024!”

In the post, the DJ continued, “Additionally, I’m giving away a track I never planned on releasing, to everyone that can send me an email confirmation u have donated at-least $10 to the Hawaii Peoples Fund. Send your confirmation of donations to svddendonatehawaii@gmail.com and I will send you the DL link in the reply. (NO HINTS BUT ITS A BANGER) @syntheticera”

Since then SVDDEN DEATH posted an update that collectively, he and his fans have raised over $25k. He wrote, “good news we have collectively raised over 25k for the Hawaiis people fund. bad news we got so many emails that the responder broke it seems to be working again so if u didnt receive the tune yet, send ur donation confirmation again and u should receive it now.”
