Not only is Idris Elba a globally known actor with Emmy, Oscar, Screen Actors Guild, and British Academy award nominations he is also an incredibly talented DJ and musical artist. It is hard to find something that Idris Elba cannot do successfully. Exron Music has dug into Idris Elba’s exciting life, leading him to achieve greatness in both acting and music.

Idris Elba had his break in the performing arts while starring in the award-winning show, “The Wire.” Elba has also appeared in Marvel movies, such as “Avengers: Infinity War,” and costarred alongside Beyonce in their movie “Obsessed.” As if that wasn’t enough, Idris Elba has been in over 100 shows and movies in Hollywood.

The 51-year-old has no signs of slowing down with six upcoming projects listed in addition to a thriving music career. He is an accomplished artist having played at Coachella, Ultra Music Festival, Glastonbury, and Tomorrowland, not forgetting his upcoming set at Movement Festival 2024. Idris is also the label head of 7Wallace. 7Wallace is a label dedicated to breaking the boundaries of techno and hip-hop.

On the 7Wallace label, Elba has released multiple hit songs and collaborations with artists such as The Knocks, Kah-Lo, and Cypress Hill. In addition, Idris has furthered his talents as an artist and has been a featured producer on other tracks and labels. In 2020 he worked on a Mau5trap release with Jay Robinson, “Know Yourself.” Just last week he released a track on Defected Records titled “La Trumpeta.”

Idris Elba’s long list of accolades continues with an impressive collaboration with Paul McCartney, almost being James Bond, working with the British Parliament, releasing a documentary on dance music, and most importantly, being a steadfast pioneer in increasing diversity in the arts and beyond. The incredibly talented Idris Elba continues to surprise fans of the theater, movies, and music alike.
