Kid Cudi Cancels INSANO Tour Due to Coachella Injury
Due to an injury sustained during his Coachella 2024 performance, Kid Cudi has announced the cancellation of his upcoming tour.
Kid Cudi has just announced the cancellation of the forthcoming INSANO Tour, because of a broken heel bone. The injury is, “much more serious than [he] thought,” and heads into surgery which is known to hold a long recovery time.
During his surprise performance during Weekend 2 of Coachella 2024, Scott Mescudi who is famously known by his artist name Kid Cudi, injured himself while jumping off stage during his set. Though the injury is very serious, Kid Cudi remains in “good spirits.”
It has now been confirmed that Cudi has a broken calcaneus, which is the large bone that forms the heel and where the Achilles tendon is attached to. The incident was caught on video and occurred while Cudi was performing his hit song ‘Memories‘ ft. David Guetta. Cudi is seen jumping off stage and unable to get up after the fall resulting in the cancellation of the rest of his Coachella performance.
In a post directed to his fans, he revealed that he has to cancel both the US and Europe leg of the INSANO Tour so that he can, “focus on getting better to be out there in top shape to rage with you all.”
For those who have tickets to the INSANO tour, an email will be sent soon with instructions on how to receive a full refund. Cudi expresses that he will announce new tour dates as soon as possible and that he, “cannot wait to get back out there with you guys and turn up how we do.”
Cudi addresses how the sudden news could be disheartening to his fans who have waited for this tour which is named after his newest album ‘INSANO‘ that dropped in early January. He writes in his post, “Im really disappointed as im sure you guys are too, but I will be back. Thats a promise.”
