Porter Robinson Threatens to Remove Entire Discography from Streaming Platforms

Porter Robinson worries fans with a video posted to his social media threatening to delete his entire catalog of music.

A three-minute video posted to Porter Robinson’s social media has fans speculating about their favorite songs disappearing from streaming platforms. In the video, a narration recounts “how on March 1st, 2024, Porter deleted his entire discography and identity from the internet.“ The video shows fabricated headlines on major music sites like Rolling Stone.

The video has been titled “The Day Porter Robinson Deleted All His Music” and is available to watch on his YouTube as well. The video also showcases concert footage from past Porter Robinson performances. It includes random stills and phrases with obscure meanings to fans.

This is not the first time that Porter has erased some of his existing catalog. In 2018, fans went through a similar heartbreak. After being annoyed with fans leaking unreleased music, Porter decided to disown all of his music except for 11 tracks.

Fans have reacted on social media with mixed emotions. Some fans responded with surprise while others were clinging to their existing copies of his music to their chest. A mix of comedy and cynicism has fans on their toes for what may be to come next for Porter.

Porter Robinson is still allegedly ramping up for his third album. This next era is expected to be much different from the past ones mentioned in the video. The video references his last two albums ‘Nurture‘ and ‘Worlds‘ that may be deleted from music platforms according to the video.

The video ends with the words “It’s done.” When you go to his personal website, the only words are “the album is done” underneath the Porter Robinson logo. The internet is still speculating about what’s next, but it will for sure be something big.

Hi! My name is Destine and I found a love for House and EDM through my time in the NYC dance community. My favorite thing about music is how it brings people together without having to say a word. Some of my favorite artists include Kaytranada, Kelela, Shygirl, and Uncle Waffles.
