Porter Robinson’s Local Raising Cane’s Restaurant Dedicates Corner to his Music Career

A Raising Cane’s in Porter Robinson’s hometown has an honorary corner for him and he left them a surprise addition.

Porter Robinson recently discovered that his hometown’s Raising Cane’s has devoted a corner of the restaurant to his fame and he was extremely thrilled about it. The corner includes a framed vinyl for his ‘Worlds’ album along with a framed ‘Worlds’ poster. 

He shares the Porter Robinson corner in a video on his TikTok where he records himself eating there along with a short bit that shows him leaving a present to show his appreciation. The present he left for the Raising Cane’s was a vinyl of his ‘Nurture’ album with the official album cover on the front. But he wanted it to be a surprise so he didn’t tell anyone and hoped they would just stumble upon it. 

In the video, he said, “I found out the Raising Cane’s in my hometown has a Porter Robinson corner. I decided to do a sneaky lil drop-off to improve their collection with a better album.” He stood on top of a booth to place the ‘Nurture’ vinyl on a shelf and then waved goodbye to it. The caption said, “Somebody let me know if it’s still there LOL.”

However, people commented on Porter Robinson’s video and said that it was gone not even twenty minutes after he posted it, but someone else said it might have just been sent to be framed. Other commenters are hopeful that it did not get stolen and will eventually get hung up again. 

Porter Robinson released his ‘Nurture’ album in 2021and the songs it includes are “Lifelike,” “Wind Tempos,” and “Mother.” His ‘Worlds’ album was also very successful and included major songs like “Divinity,” “Lionhearted,” and “Sad Machine.” He suggested in the TikTok video that he thinks ‘Nurture’ is a better album.

Porter Robinson was born in Atlanta, Georgia, but currently lives in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. He also recently got married to Rike Mikuriya who was his longtime girlfriend.
