Can You Beat Shaq? Challenge DJ Diesel at Brooklyn Mirage

90s Kids may remember the Aaron Carter song, “How I Beat Shaq,” Sunday may be your chance to prove it at the Brooklyn Mirage.

DJ DIESEL (Shaquille O’Neal) is headling his Shaq’s Bass All-Stars event at the Brooklyn Mirage this Sunday, August 27th. His debut at the iconic venue features DJ DIESEL himself, Habstrakt, Jessica Audiffred, Emorfik, and more.

Shaq’s Bass All-Stars tour is the lead-up to his festival happening September 16th in Fort Worth, Texas. The final show before the festival is happening at the Brooklyn Mirage, and it is sure to be a ripper. Shaq’s Bass All-Stars will be the largest bass-centric festival held in Texas yet, welcoming 10,000 bass heads to headbang.

Shaq is quite literally a master of all trades. From beginning his career in basketball and earning 4 NBA Championship rings, to numerous commercial appearances and business investments including owning nine Papa John’s Pizza in Atlanta, Shaq is truly a superhuman standing 7+ feet tall. Now, he is a world-renowned dubstep DJ who just dropped his first album, ‘Gorilla Warfare‘- what can’t he do?

So that leads us to the question, Do you have what it takes to beat Shaq? If you answered yes, it is time to put your money where your mouth is!

The Brooklyn Mirage is raffling off a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to challenge THE legendary Shaquille O’Neal to a timeless game of horse. Happening this Sunday August, 27th, two winners will be chosen to face off with Shaq at the show!

In order to enter, you must have purchased a ticket to the event by 5 PM Friday, August 25th. If you enter, you can share the contest with your rave fam for more chances to win. Honestly, seeing a bass head in a pashmina face-off with Shaq may be the ultimate cure to the Sunday Scaries. I’ve already entered myself, twice, for the plot naturally, I am no basketball star but I AM a bass head.

You can purchase tickets to Shaq’s Bass All-Stars here and if you have already purchased sign up for the epic contest here. Now let’s hope no one yells “BRICK” during your jump shot. We can probably count on Shaq yelling “Where’s my mosh pit?” at least three times though.

See you there!

Hey! I'm Shiv! Music is the greatest part of my life, I remember discovering dubstep when I was 15/16 and my entire life was altered - robot noises?? I needed MORE! Now, I live in NYC and have seen over 60 artists of all genres; my favorites being Odesza, Subtronics, Rezz, Griz, Zeds Dead, John Summit and Kaskade. I am an enjoyer of music and will try everything once, I do not discriminate - there is beauty in all genres (minus country). You can usually find me in a warehouse at 4AM because I am nocturnal and will quite literally never say no to a show.

What's your reaction?
