Fans Slam Paris Hilton for Lip Syncing at Tomorrowland

Paris Hilton was caught lip-synching at Tomorrowland during a surprise performance with steve aoki.

Videos have gone viral of what looks like a lip-synching Paris Hilton on the main stage at Tomorrowland as she joined Steve Aoki to debut their new song, “Lighter Without You.” Fans have responded to the viral videos with scathing comments calling out the legitimacy of Paris’ “live” performance.

This presumable lip-synching fail has stirred up a frenzy as fans couldn’t help but see it as obvious, during Tomorrowland’s live stream of Aoki’s set. Around 30 seconds into the performance, the comments started to stream in about her lip-synching and that it looked like the mic wasn’t even on.

Fans thought it was pretty noticeable as most comments were the same and went along the lines of, “why does she have a microphone lol” and “not even singing.” This isn’t the first time that the heiress-turned-DJ has been criticized by the EDM community. Breaking out in the dance music scene in 2012, Paris Hilton had her debut as a DJ at Brazil’s Pop Music Festival. In 2014, reports of Paris making millions of dollars to DJ around the world went public which stirred up some enthusiastic comments from renowned DJ’s like Deadmau5.

“So Paris, thank you… were actually not even mad you’re enthusiastic about electronic music… we love that you’re a part of our party. But please, get the f**k back in your go kart. No need to prove that you found someone stupid enough to consider paying you a million dollars for something the world knows you aren’t… because here’s what you actually are to everyone who knows better.. ticket sales. nothing more.”

Although controversy seems to follow Paris, this hasn’t stopped her from pursuing her passions. The heiress-turned-DJ has played at some of the biggest festivals in the world including her own set last weekend at Tomorrowland’s Liberty Stage. Thousands gathered in the pouring rain for Paris’ performance. She went on Instagram to share a message with her fans.
