Electric Forest Launches New Era with Techno Artists on 2024 Lineup

electric forest has announced its 2024 artist lineup including the FIRST-EVER techno headliner, charlotte de witte.

Electric Forest 2024 has revealed its first-ever techno headliner, and who better to launch this new era than the queen of techno herself, Charlotte de Witte. Charlotte will bring her cutting-edge techno sound to the forest where techno music has been a finite genre throughout the years.

Electric Forest is most known for its perfect blend of electronic dance music and jam band genres that are cast throughout the forest for four days. This year, the festival is taking steps to further expand its reputation of being a multi-genre wonderland with a significant amount of techno and tech-house artists joining the line-up.

This isn’t the first time that Charlotte de Witte has made history by being the first female techno artist to headline a major festival. It was just last year at Ultra 2023 in Miami that Charlotte played techno on the Main Stage for the first time. The praise she got from her performance at Ultra, opened the floodgate for techno artists to dominate festival line-ups in 2024.

Although Charlotte de Witte will be the first headliner at Electric Forest to solely play techno music, it was Chicago-based DJ and producer Azzecca who was the first artist to play techno at Electric Forest in 2023. Last year, Azzecca performed for the first time at the Abracadabra Stage, igniting a revolution and demand for techno music to be more present in the enchanting forest.

Techno and tech-house artists alike have controlled a hefty portion of the 2024 line-up. One of the most highly anticipated performances will be John Summit and Dom Dolla who are going b2b as headliners debuting their joint project, ‘Everything Always‘ at the forest. Other beloved tech-house artists on the line-up are Mau P, Green Velvet, Westend, and more.
