Christian Löffler ‘Embraces the Unknown’ Ahead of New Album with Lead Single ‘When Everything Was New’

Christian Löffler has released the newest single, “When Everything Was New” off forthcoming album, ‘A Life.’

Inspired by the philosophy of humanism and how emotions are uniquely habituated and relative to what makes us human, producer Christian Löffler embodies this thinking in his upcoming album, ‘A Life’ to be released on April 26th, 2024.

In a world of AI-optimizing creative outlets, Christian Löffler’s forthcoming album offers the alternative, accentuating human creativity – reminding us that artistic expression is still relevant to music and is not just a product but something still to be born from someone’s hand, soul, and heart.

‘A Life’ is a reflection on the questioning of the direction of electronic music today, as it has become more heavily tech-assisted. These wonderings lead Löffler to an expressive state of music creation which consistently is the outlet he chooses to escape to when producing.

Throughout his work, Löffler has always attempted to capture the inner workings of the human soul and the rare perspective we as humans have in this life. ‘A Life’ is the closest project that Löffler has made where he has been able to bottle up the profound and unique mystery of the fundamentals of human emotion and humanity into one project.

Regarding the new album, Löffler said that “[he] wanted to forget the idea of polishing or perfection and really just make something very human, with passion, impulsiveness and even mistakes,” He continued, “With the new album, I wanted to free myself completely from all possible structures or rules. I was coming back to my roots and my teenage times when creating the music was all about having fun and nothing more”. This idea, Löffler seems to reveal, is after all what makes ‘a life’ worth living.

The concept of humanity and the questions raised around this ideology have been a stimulant in Löffler’s life as he catches inspiration from places like his hometown Graal. This picturesque oasis on the Baltic coast has (in one way or another) been a focal point in his five studio albums and many more of his artworks. Though the beauty of Graal is not directly referenced in his music, it is the seclusion and isolation of home that Löffler is tapping into.

The album features talented producers and vocalists emphasizing the idea that life isn’t a just solo journey but a collaborative one. On the song “Envy,” Löffler joins forces with Mogli, who rose to fame with her debut album, ‘Wanderer’. The track showcases Mogli’s chilling vocals mixed with Löffler’s signature introspective sound, which is meant to guide listeners on a heartening expedition.

Similarly, in the track “Brave,” Löffler offers a sanctuary for nostalgic affections to exist as he brings to life wistful beats and textures that are brought together from an impressionable piano medley. Other tracks on the album accommodate the uniquely human state – like breathing and our ability to control that Löffler so elegantly embodies in his art. The album couldn’t be more of an accurate reputation for celebrating humanity in all the shapes and sizes that it comes in.

Christian Löffler exclusively told Exron the new single, “stands for excitement and possibility. We should embrace the unknown with confidence and excitement, knowing we have the skills and abilities to succeed. There may be challenges along the way, but we have the strength to overcome them. By embracing the spirit of this feeling “When Everything Was New,” we can unlock new opportunities and achieve great things.”

My favorite thing in the whole world is music and after hearing "One" by Swedish House Mafia for the first time in 2014, I was hooked on EDM. Dance music has been a large part of who I am and will always be searching for new ways to incorporate it in my life. The pure bliss that I feel from live shows is a feeling I never want to stop chasing (iykyk). Some of my favorite artists are Flume, Rüfüs Du Sol, Mindchatter, Disclosure, Dom Dolla and Fred Again.. :)
