Nicky Romero, 35, has solidified his place as one of the leading figures in the big-room electronic dance music scene over the past decade and has been going strong with music since a young age. He has worked as a DJ/producer with Avicii, Rihanna, Calvin Harris, David Guetta, and Britney Spears. 

His real name is Nick Rotteveel and his birthdate is January 6, 1989. He grew up in Amerongen, Netherlands. Nicky Romero’s musical journey began with a childhood filled with music. The sounds of the city he grew up in helped inspire his distinctive sound and he is considered a sensation from his hometown. 

Romero was surrounded by a supportive family who recognized his talent and nurtured his passion for music. Amerongen is considered a tranquil Dutch town that helped shape his future success and gave him a deep appreciation for melody and rhythm.
