Female artists have joined together to celebrate their role in the dance community for International Women’s Day.

In honor of International Women’s Day, female artists from around the world join together to celebrate their role in the dance community. As women continue to break the mold in the EDM community, which has been historically male-dominated, Exron Music celebrates all women in the industry who are making noise.

BLOND:ISH joined in celebrating the day by honoring her wife with a post on instagram. The compilation video gave fans a glimpse into the relationship between BLOND:ISH and her newlywedded wife Liana Hillison, “celebrating the best DJ wife, hugger, party organizer, label boss, businesswoman, crypto queen.”

Honey Dijon shared a powerful message on her social media honoring the black lesbian voice which has been, “often overlooked in the history in the birth of house music, and dance music in general.” She continues, “So many queer black women were a part of this movement from promotion to production as well as DJ’s.” The Blessed Madonna is another figure who spoke about trans women expressing to “leave trans women the heck alone!” because “it’s their day too.”

Touching on the importance of the female voice, VNSSA also commented that she is, “proud to be a part of flipping the narrative, today and every day.” In her post, she included many photos with other female artists including J.Worra, Aluna, Mija, Nala, Nostalgix, Mary Droppinz, and more with whom she has shared the stage.

My favorite thing in the whole world is music and after hearing "One" by Swedish House Mafia for the first time in 2014, I was hooked on EDM. Dance music has been a large part of who I am and will always be searching for new ways to incorporate it in my life. The pure bliss that I feel from live shows is a feeling I never want to stop chasing (iykyk). Some of my favorite artists are Flume, Rüfüs Du Sol, Mindchatter, Disclosure, Dom Dolla and Fred Again.. :)
