Blond:ish Plays Pop Up Set in Aspen After Getting Stuck in a Snowstorm

Planes, trains and Automobiles! Blond:ish had to face the winter elements to arrive at her Aspen pop-up show.

It has been a chaotic week for house DJ and Producer from the announcement of her new baby on the way to facing the worst of winter weather. The winter elements gave Blond:ish some snowy hurdles to get to her pop-up show in Aspen, CO this past weekend.

Blond:ish wrote on her Instagram, “✈️ 2 canceled flights, a snow storm ❄️ + mgmt telling me to give up and go back home, didn’t stop me from finding my way to Aspen to share a moment with y’all ⚡️🫶.” No winter weather advisory could stop her from getting to her show and ripping it at an Apres Ski event at elite Aspen Venue, The Snow Lodge.

The daytime party starts at 3 PM, right around the time skiers and boarders take their last descent down the mountain and descend into some libations to celebrate a great day on the mountain with some killer tunes. The Snow Lodge is infamous for families lodging in the area but on the flip side, famous for the ravers that hit the slopes every year.

The seasonal venue hosts mega-names from across the globe for their Apres Ski sets. Most recently this season they have hosted Duke Dumont, Diplo, Sophie Tukker, Alok, Cassian, Bob Moses, and Mojave Grey. The lineup for the rest of the season remains top-tier with upcoming shows with Alesso, Guy Gerber, Carlita, Pawsa, and Vintage Culture.

Aspen, a remote ski town that is roughly 4 hours from Denver is no easy feat to get to when the weather is subpar. However, Blond:ush defied her management and made it happen. Battling canceled flights, tough terrain, and blustery weather, she made it there and was able to put on a spectacle of the show. The comments on her post say it all, with many fans begging for unreleased IDs.

Hey! I'm Shiv! Music is the greatest part of my life, I remember discovering dubstep when I was 15/16 and my entire life was altered - robot noises?? I needed MORE! Now, I live in NYC and have seen over 60 artists of all genres; my favorites being Odesza, Subtronics, Rezz, Griz, Zeds Dead, John Summit and Kaskade. I am an enjoyer of music and will try everything once, I do not discriminate - there is beauty in all genres (minus country). You can usually find me in a warehouse at 4AM because I am nocturnal and will quite literally never say no to a show.

What's your reaction?
