The iconic house DJ and producer Tita Lau was recently featured on Capital Dance, the official radio station for all things dance music in the UK. Tita Lau got to chatting with the show’s host MistaJam and revealed exactly how the idea behind “Disconnected” came to fruition.

According to her, she and James were not in a good place at that point in time before the song was released. When they headed to the studio one day, she decided to pour out her heart to him and literally said, “I feel a little disconnected.” Although she was trying to have a serious conversation about their relationship, James looked at her fiercely and said “Wait, say that again.. and yeah, into the mic.” Immediately, she knew he had a brilliant idea when it came to those specific words she spoke. And the rest was history.

Throughout the rest of the video, Tita Lau continued expressing that once James has an idea in his head, he cannot let it go and goes off on how brilliant he is. She also hinted that she and James are working on a ton of projects together right now. MistaJam then went on and mentioned that she is also brilliant and that together they are a pair of unstoppable geniuses. He even compared them to Beyonce and Jay-Z, calling them “The Carters.”

To close out the year, house sensation Tita Lau is joining James Hype on his STEREOHYPE US debut at Avant Gardner in New York City on December 22nd. Hopefully, fans will get to witness the pair perform together more frequently once 2024 rolls around. And who knows, maybe soon they’ll get into another argument to create yet another banger.
