James Hype Proposes to Long-Time Girlfriend Tita Lau

A surprise birthday party for Tita Lau takes an exciting turn as her boyfriend James Hype arranges his proposal to her.

Many fans of Jame Hype or members who his cult following, HYPEFAM, know about the absolutely dynamic duo he and Tita Lau have become. Throughout the years, we have watched the two upcoming DJs and producers grow as artists and in their relationships. So, when Tita Lau and James Hype announced to the media his proposal to Tita, we could not be happier! 

Prior to the beautiful engagement on August 1st, Tita Lau celebrated her birthday.  So, what better way to hide a proposal surprise than a surprise party? On that day, James definitely surprised Tita. But, with not just a lavish birthday party in a cottage in London, but also with a proposal. In James’ popular video blog, ‘Moving Differently’, we get a glimpse into this magical day. At first, you see the videographer in front of a massive manor in London where the surprises begin. 

In the video,  James and Tita arrive and all their friends surprise the birthday girl. Following the surprise, the group walked outside for a “photo shoot” where James planned to pop the question. As the group walks together, James with a White Claw in one hand and the ring in another, kneeled down on one knee. Suddenly, screams from Tita and her friends fill the area filled of excitement and surprise. Tita of course says yes, then shares a touching moment with her now fiancee, James. 

In her recent post announcing the engagement, Tita mentions “So… this is how he asked. James planned a surprise Birthday party for me at a beautiful old Manor House where our friends and family were waiting, then asked us all to go outside to take a picture together… he didn’t tell anyone he was about to give us the ultimate surprise. I haven’t really had a moment to take it all in until now. So thank you, everyone, for your wonderful messages and gifts, I’m very overwhelmed with all the emotions today, I love you all. I’m officially a fiancée!”
