Elliphant Opens Up About Struggles with Anxiety and New Music

Elliphant reminds herself to be grateful while struggling with anxiety.

In a recent Instagram post by Swedish artist Elliphant, she is grounding herself in nature as she struggles with the anxiety of releasing new music. Fresh off her new single “Therapy,” she reminds herself what she is grateful for and the exciting things to come.

Laying in bed with her meditating naked cat Pila, Elliphant expresses that her head’s been spinning from the “worrying and confusion about what the frikkin shits goin on in the world.” With her “achievement anxiety,” Elliphant feels that her ego is crumpling her to dust. To get out of the “bulldozer mindset,” she took a hot shower and a small meditation to center herself around what she’s grateful for.

Amidst the anxiety, Elliphant finds support in her family and friends. She reminds herself that she always gets to work with music and has touched people’s heads and hearts around the world. Elliphant also announced that new music is on the way.

Having released her newest single, “Therapy,” at the end of September, Elliphant revealed that she has been working with producers WDL and Richard Silver on her upcoming album. Set to release in 2024, Elliphant’s new album ‘TROLL’ will explore “the majestic motherhood of nature.” Working with Swedish label and management company Milkshake, ‘TROLL’ is set to be Elliphant’s most raw album yet.

Elliphant Anxiety Struggles

Coming on the scene in 2012 with her debut single “Tekkno Scene,” Elliphant has been compared to the likes of M.I.A. with her boisterous style and Diplo-esque production. Eventually, having even worked with Diplo, Elliphant has made a name for herself over the past ten years. She has associated herself with acts like Skrillex, Dave Sitek, MØ, and Charli XCX.

With her first release since 2021, Elliphant has been facing mental struggles with releasing new music. Having reminded herself of things she’s grateful for, she rings in her new album ‘TROLL’ with its first single, “Therapy.”
