Aoki’s father, Hiroaki Aoki, also known as Rocky Aoki, was a Japanese-born American wrestler and entrepreneur. He rose to the game as the founder of the beloved restaurant chain, Benihana, which specializes in Japanese cuisine and teppanyaki-style cooking. Benihana revolutionized the dining experience by introducing the concept of teppanyaki, with the first outlet starting in New York City. Over the years, the chain has expanded globally and become an internationally recognized brand across the world with locations in Canada, Australia, and the United Kingdom.

The dance legend’s mother, Keiko Ono Aoki, was a journalist and daughter of Yunosuke Ono, the founder of the Ono Pharmaceutical Company in Japan. Keiko worked in the corporation and supported various philanthropic causes throughout her career. Steve Aoki’s sister is also one of the most successful models in the scene today. Devon Aoki has worked with prominent fashion brands and collaborated with top designers such as Chanel, Versace, and Hugo Boss. In addition to her bag of accolades, she has also ventured into acting and appeared in films such as “2 Fast 2 Furious” and “Sin City.”
