Since then, Aoki hasn’t shared many details about his personal relationships. Aoki mentioned in an interview that balancing personal life with his busy work schedule was too demanding. So, it’s unclear if Steve Aoki’s girlfriend currently exists, if he’s still seeking out his next partner, or if he’s staying single by choice.

Many fans also search for Steve Aoki’s siblings, as his family is famous for multiple reasons. Most notably, Steve Aoki’s late father, Rocky Aoki, founded Benihana, the powerhouse hibachi restaurant chain. The DJ also has a famous sister, Devon Aoki, who is a model and actress. She’s most well known for her roles in 2 Fast 2 Furious, Sin City, DOA: Dead or Alive, and Mutant Chronicles.

Aside from his relationship and famous family, Steve Aoki is known for his finesse on the decks and in the studio. The internationally acclaimed DJ headlines some of the world’s biggest festivals and sells out the most sought-after venues, but not without a cake in hand ready to fire at the crowd. He’s also the founder of Dim Mak, one of the most esteemed record labels, event companies, and lifestyle brands in the dance music world.

But of course, despite all of the accomplishments and accolades, Steve Aoki’s crowd-caking is perhaps what he’s most remembered for. His tradition of caking the crowd has been going on for many years and has become a fan favorite. Fans in the crowd at Aoki’s shows literally beg to be “caked,” (a.k.a., smashed in the face with a birthday cake) jumping and cheering while the DJ winds up his shot.

I've been a part of the dance music scene for nearly a decade and with Exron for more than half of that time. My first event was Diplo's Mad Decent but these days you'll find me at Club Space or the Brooklyn Mirage. Some of my top artists are G Jones, Tipper, Of The Trees, and CharlestheFirst. My favorite genres are techno, experimental bass, and ambient but I'll get down to anything with a beat!
