Ghastly Embraces New Single Life After Breakup as His “Own Best Friend”

Ghastly Has Began Embracing The Single Life By Connecting With Himself Through Music

As of recent, American DJ Ghastly has revealed how he’s learned from his past split from ex-girlfriend Hawleykinz (Lauren Hawley). In a tweet and Instagram post, the DJ wrote about how “I almost forgot who I was to myself – my own best friend.” As fans shower the young producer with love, this seems like a transitional period for Ghastly, both professional and personal.

Additionally, Ghastly and Hawleykinz have announced their plan to move forward with their project Pyramid Punx in a professional manner. Furthermore, the NFT project “is a female-founded and led project that aims to bring together the music, skateboarding, and art worlds.” Pyramid Punx is currently in the works as its fourth phase has yet to be announced.

In addition to Ghastly’s breakup, he created a TikTok of himself playing a beautiful soft piano riff. The video shows a different side of the producer showcasing his variance and range as an artist. No jokes, no pets, and no loud bass drops.

The video shows him sitting in stillness, quietly playing the piano while text flashed. “I recently went through a really tough breakup,” Ghastly’s text narrated. The video continued with, “I wrote this song as a way of moving on. The hardest part of breaking up is deciding what hurts the most… holding on or letting go.”

Looking ahead, Ghastly has several festivals that he’s gearing up for during his Haunted Haus tour. He’ll be making appearances at Stereo Live, Rampage Open Air, Bass Canyon and many more.

Lastly, Ghastly has also announced he plans on releasing more music under his masked alter-ego Ghengar. Regarding playing shows as Ghengar, no announcement has been made. Until a couple of weeks ago, when Ghastly brought out Ghengar while performing at Academy LA.

My name is Sebastian Medina and I was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. Ever since I could remember, I have always been in love with dance music. I appreciate all genres and sub-genres but I definitely gravitate towards house and techno. Being from LA I was blessed with an amazing nightlife full of different artists coming in and out of town throughout the years. Some of my favorite artists include Seth Troxler, Michael Bibi, Mr.Carmack, PAWSA, and Folamour.
