John Summit & Dom Dolla Face Backlash Over ‘Everything Always’ Steep Ticket Prices
The prices for John Summit and Dom Dolla’s first “Everything Always” show in Seattle have been accused of being highly priced.
John Summit and Dom Dolla recently released their new collaboration project called Everything Always and their highly anticipated first show together will be on September 9 in Seattle, Washington, at Gas Works Park. The backlash arrived on the John Summit Fan Page on Facebook from a person who posted a picture of their ticket total for two tickets in the fifth tier which came to $215.98. In the fifth tier, the tickets cost $89.99 each with a $36 service charge.
The post said: “The permit to host a show at Gasworks must have been outrageous cause these prices are wild. T5 almost immediately once it went on sale.” They added: “I’d pay the price, but you have to admit it’s steep for the show.”
There was a mixed response from people in the group with some pointing out that the prices are average for bigger venues. While it was also pointed out that the price could have risen due to “Everything Always” being a part of Insomniac.
One person said: “But when I visit Denver for shows AXS likes to price out most of them around $80, especially Red Rocks. Either way, a bit overpriced for sure;” “Normal prices in Chicago” and “Normal prices once Insomniac get involved.”
Other people were not shocked by the prices and are more excited than anything saying: “Honestly those prices are still worth it for the show they put on!” and “$90 for those two is worth it alone.” Along with “That’s a festival weekend;” “Must be new to the scene” and “That’s pretty standard lol.”
Some noted that the prices were reasonably priced for the first few tiers but were more pricey in later tiers. Ticket prices usually go up about $10 per tier and the person who posted was on the last tier. The tickets also sold out very quickly as there was a high demand for them.
