Deorro Shares Breakdown of Hit Single ‘Five Hours’ for 10th Anniversary

Legendary producer and DJ, Erick Orrosquieta, famously known as Deorro, celebrates ten years of ‘Five Hours’.

Renowned Mexican-American DJ/ Producer Deorro shares his gratitude with fans on Instagram. In addition, the renowned artist shares an interview clip showing fans the breakdown of his groundbreaking electronic dance song, “Five Hours.”

Deorro shares how the track originally came to be and what it means to him today. What started as a song made with no intention of being released made it to a #1 spot on Billboard’s Dance Airplay chart, signed by Avicii‘s label. Furthermore, the song’s rights were bought by Ultra Records. Originally, the song came to Deorro as a feeling, then manifested into the biggest song of Deorro’s career. The artist did not intend to release it until his team convinced him otherwise. 

Deorro takes fans back down memory lane to a time before his career as a producer went anywhere. Moreover, the Mexican-American DJ was on his way to see a special woman. Notably, this woman ended up becoming his wife down the lane.

The producer notes that many emotions were coming up to the surface that required transmutation during his three-hour bus and two-hour train ride. Once Erik came home from his surprise Valentine’s Day, he intended to translate the romantic euphoria he was experiencing into sounds by going straight into the studio.

Other master class acts, such as Marshmello, Gryffin, R3hab, and Black Tiger Sex Machine, gave the blissful and nostalgic tune a proper shoutout for its legendary mark on electronic dance music history. Even the beloved GodFather of electronic dance music, Tiësto, recognized the memorable post as “a classic masterpiece”. Furthermore, Tiesto mentions how he continues to use “Five Hours” in his sets. 

Instagram fans also agree, commenting below the Instagram post how “Five Hours” will stay a timeless masterpiece. Furthermore, many fans share how they remember hearing this song for the first time and wish they could hear it for the first time again.
