Children’s Band The Wiggles Release Techno Remix Album

The world’s most popular children’s entertainment group, The Wiggles, leaves their mark with an electronic album of their most popular songs.

Yes, you read that correctly. Those who grew up watching The Wiggles in the 90s through the 2000s know that the group is known for its infectious tunes, funky dances, and colorful personas. Who does not remember the popular “fruit salad, yummy yummy” jingle?

The rising album is called “Rave of Innocence”, featuring fourteen electronic remixes of their classic children’s songs and covers of other tunes. Popular tunes such as ‘Hot Potato’, ‘Fruit Salad’, ‘Toot Toot’, ‘Chugga Chugga’, and ‘Big Red Car’ have been reworked into techno beats featuring a pure aura of joy.

Meanwhile, The Wiggles Sound System has exclusively put itself on the electronic dance music map. The group that produced “Rave of Innocence” is composed of Lenny Pearce (who happens to be the twin brother of the current purple wiggle) and DJ Dorothy. Lenny Pearce has gained a loyal TikTok following of 1.4 million, for releasing EDM remixes of popular children’s music.

Twitter (now rebranded as X) fans give thoughtful reviews on the album. Some claim that the album exceeds their expectations. Others like @cleaming_ comment that The Wiggles Soundsystem gives their 110%, making it a banger album. In contrast, it was hard for other fans to believe that The Wiggles came out with an electronic dance music album, featuring elements of house, techno, and even psytrance.

Certainly, The Wiggles coming out with a techno album was not on the 2024 bingo card. In a recent press release, Anthony Field of The Wiggles expresses how incredible it is seeing fans who are now in their 20s and 30s who grew up enjoying the group’s music in an entirely different way.

Yoooo, the homies call me Marz. I am a multidimensional Piscean Latina fairy from Miami-Dade County (no, not Florida). Electronic music has allowed me to appreciate the profound beauty that can be found in finding peace within the chaos. Artists such as Rezz, Skrillex, John Summit, Michael Bibi, and Amtrac blend the two seamlessly, creating a harmonious balance that resonates with me whenever I am on the dancefloor. When I am writing about electronic music, I feel this same balance of peace and chaos moving through me - starting in my hips, filling my heart, and radiating out from my soul. The power of music has brought me to this exact moment, and I only desire that you feel the warmth of the sun through my words.
