Michael Bibi Breaks Down in Tears After Cancer Scan Comes Back Clear

Beloved DJ, producer, and EDM personality Michael Bibi has shared the good news with fans–his latest screens following his cancer treatment have come back completely clear.

Michael Bibi has had a tough year following a cancer diagnosis that he shared with the world in June 2023. His diagnosis, CNS Lymphoma, is a rare form of cancer that affects the brain and spine. This news is difficult for anyone to come to terms with, let alone a touring artist who depends on traveling the world and playing music for their livelihood. Bibi was confined to the hospital bed almost immediately as he began treatment.

Nine months later, he took to Instagram to share the good news from his medical team. Michael Bibi posted a voicemail recording where medical staff is heard saying that his recent scans are “completely normal” and that there are “no issues.”

He added a heartfelt caption, confirming the good news that fans and followers can clearly hear in the recording. “My 3 month post-treatment scan results….ALL CLEAR” he wrote. Bibi confirmed that this means he can cease all medication and get back to a sense of normalcy in his life.

Michael Bibi concluded the post, “Music is healing me every day & I can feel i’m so close to getting back out with you all. I didn’t want to agree to any extra shows that I couldn’t stick to but today’s news is a green light & I truly cannot wait to dance with you all again.”

The artist is wasting no time getting back to his version of a normal life, as it was just announced that he would be headlining the new QUASAR stage at Coachella next month. He’s also previously shared plans to embark on his One Life tour, a perfectly fitting title for his journey, with dates and venues still pending.

Michael Bibi has not glanced over the opportunity to use his platform to support others facing a similar battle with cancer. His upcoming charity show in London’s Finsbury Park will benefit The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.

Despite all of the challenges Michael Bibi has faced since last summer, his legacy has been marked by his strength and perseverance. The music industry has shown the DJ a ton of support through these past nine months and continues to do so.

I've been a part of the dance music scene for nearly a decade and with Exron for more than half of that time. My first event was Diplo's Mad Decent but these days you'll find me at Club Space or the Brooklyn Mirage. Some of my top artists are G Jones, Tipper, Of The Trees, and CharlestheFirst. My favorite genres are techno, experimental bass, and ambient but I'll get down to anything with a beat!
