Music Industry Shows Support for Michael Bibi After Hospital Release From Cancer Battle

After finishing his main cancer treatment and his hospital release, Michael Bibi played a surprise set at the final Solid Grooves residency in Ibiza. 

When Bibi was diagnosed, the electronic music community showed the producer love and support. Throughout his journey, Bibi has shared a few updates and recently revealed that he completed his main treatment. Days later, Michael Bibi traveled from the hospital to the final Solid Grooves show at its Ibiza residency. 

The performance was met with people from every corner of the music industry expressing gratitude and pride for Bibi. His record label, Solid Grooves, posted, “[Michael Bibi] back home to close the garden for the last dance of the season.” Defected Records also posted a video saying that it was, “Amazing to see him back behind the decks.”

“The level of pride I feel for Michael right now is unbelievable…A message to everyone if he can be behind the decks after the stress his body’s been through you can do anything [crying emoji],” Skream shared on social media. Volaris revealed that he had cancer eight years ago and gave the producer congratulations for his courage.  

John Summit called the artist “legendary” and the “G.O.A.T.” for having the strength to return. The performance prompted heartfelt messages, including an especially genuine one from Volaris. After Solid Grooves’ final show, Michael Bibi made a compilation of moments from the night on Instagram. Artists like Fisher, Charlotte de Witte, Mochakk, and BLOND:ISH called him an inspiration under the post and reminded him of his impact. 

Despite going through something challenging, one sentiment has followed Bibi since his diagnosis – one life, live it. Clips of Bibi’s performance at Solid Grooves’ closing party at DC-10 have been posted around social media, so be sure to check them out.
