Steve Aoki and Lil Jon Set to Remake Classic Track ‘Get Low’

Steve Aoki and lil jon have announced remake of “Get Low.”

Steve Aoki and Lil Jon have come together to remake the classic track “Get Low.” For decades, producer Steve Aoki has endowed the field of music with classic songs. Similarly, Lil Jon has revamped the music industry time and time again with distinct and unique artistry.

Now, the two forces have decided to grace fans with a wild collaboration, reinvigorating one of pop culture’s most spell-binding songs. In 2003, “Get Low” was released and had a seismic impact on the genre and culture at the time. It had introduced crunk, a subgenre of hip-hop, to the mainstream.

Nostalgia has always been one way to tug on the heartstrings of fans, thrusting listeners back into different eras of their lives. With Steve Aoki’s fresh takes on old songs, he has assuredly set high expectations for an elevated remix. Moreover, as popular songs of the past ebb and flow in popularity, perhaps Steve Aoki will remind new generations why Lil Jon’s track has seemingly never receded from the limelight.

Steve Aoki has never sat still as a producer, incessantly putting out new and revitalizing tracks that always shake the music scene. Aoki’s remix of “The Pursuit of Happiness” has been a testament to his ability since the end of the 2000s. Infusing songs with exhilarating and foot-tapping beats, anticipation stands only to grow before the release on February 9th.

While “Get Low” has stolen the limelight for this announcement, it’s helpful to note Lil Jon’s other equally impactful songs. “Turn Down for What, ” “Shots,” and “Snap Yo Fingers,” have been featured at many parties and on many dance floors since their respective releases. Lil Jon has gracefully provided other artists with plenty of remixing material. 

The release is less than a week out and has got excitement brewing. Steve Aoki and Lil Jon in collaboration together certainly have the gravity to make heads quickly turn their way. With the “Get Low” remix many will be happy to have directed their attention towards them.
