DJ Diesel Claims He ‘Messed Up’ After Inbox Gets Flooded with 75,000 Track Submissions

Shaq has asked producers to send him their songs on Trackstack now that his email inbox has become too much to handle.

Legendary baller-turned-DJ Diesel (Shaquille O’Neal) has actively recruited track submissions for years so that he can discover filthy new dubstep to play in his sets. He tweeted out his promotional email address way back in 2021, telling fans, “I don’t care if you have 3 or 30 mil followers, if the music is good I’ll play it in my sets.” But now, the larger-than-life DJ has admitted that this strategy may not have been the most feasible.

Diesel has posted on his socials telling fans, “here is the honest truth… we messed up…” The post included a picture of the current state of his promotional email inbox, overflowing with 74,504 unread messages. The vast majority of these emails are undoubtedly track submissions from producers hoping to impress the superstar DJ and hear some of their own music at a Diesel set.

As if it needed to be said, Shaq conceded that it’s “actually impossible to go through 74,500 emails,” so he won’t be able to hear the seemingly endless list of tracks that have been sent to him. However, he did offer a solution to this dilemma in the form of the music sharing app Trackstack. His post included a screenshot of his Trackstack profile and a claim that the company has “changed the way promo inboxes work for the better.”

It’s unclear whether this post from Diesel is part of a paid partnership with Trackstack as many commenters suspect. While the tone of the post does seem curiously advertisement-like, it’s also possible that the big man just stumbled upon Trackstack in his search for a better track submission method and liked what he found. Either way, he’s warned producers that “if you want me to hear your music… [Trackstack] is how you do it” going forward.
