Boombox Cartel Announces Forthcoming Album Created Over the Course of 12 Years

Boombox Cartel is set to release a full album that they spent over a decade working on.

Boombox Cartel consists of a Mexican DJ/producer duo including Americo Garcia and writing partner Jorge Medina and they are known for having trap-heavy beats. They announced the new album and its release date are coming soon in a Twitter post on Tuesday. The album took a whopping 12 years to finish and there are high expectations tied to it.

The trap duo said the album has been created through the highs and lows over the past 12 years. Boombox Cartel’s post said: “That’s it. the full-length album. that’s all that’s left of this project.12 years of tracks made during the highs and lows of it all. release date incoming.”

Fans expressed excitement for the new album in the replies to the post. One person said; “Omg. I’m gonna cry I’m so proud.” Another said: “No words but thank you! Been following u for almost 7 years and have opportunity to see you grow.”

However, multiple fans were thrown off by Boombox Cartel saying “That’s it. That’s all that’s left of this project,” – in worry that it might be the end of Boombox Cartel with comments that said: “Hold on what do you mean that’s all that’s left of this project? Please no,” and “Please don’t tell me this is it for boombox cartel.” But nothing on this matter has been confirmed.

There may have been some issues with a few songs on the album as in a more recent tweet from Thursday, Boombox Cartel said an artist pulled out. The post said: “Imagine spending months/years on songs to later find out a featured artist is no longer down… or it’s too off-brand for them.. or want an absurd amount of money… who knows how many songs are left to die in hard drives that will never be heard, ever.” But it is unclear what exactly he meant by this and the album is still set to be released soon.

Boombox Cartel is currently doing a Max Energy Tour which started in October 2023 and will last until January 20. Fans are also hoping they will be visiting more cities with the release of the new album.

I remember hearing Edm for the first time and thinking I knew this type of music would change my life. I love all genres and the art that goes behind it all. You can catch me dancing to a wide range of tunes.
