Exron Music: Can you share with us your personal top tracks or releases from this year, and what makes each of them special to you?

I think my track, ‘Androids’, is the most special to me from this year. This year is where I jumped back into production which makes me work longer and harder to get something perfect done. ‘Androids’ sits perfectly with my robot brand. The title, vocal and main synth is a great representation of my show style. “Androids are taking the world” is the repeated vocal and it just fits, even with AI being such a big part of the world right now. The song has no intention for anything, but just makes sense and works in the EDM world.

Exron Music: Reflecting on the past year, which track, either by your own production or by another artist, do you feel has had the biggest impact on your career, and why?

Since I only released a few tracks and even finished a few that aren’t ready for release at this current moment, I still jump back to ‘Androids’ as having a big impact on me. It has the most streams and it’s a great intro song with this custom show intro I’ve created. As I grow tremendously as an artist in 2024, I believe this song itself will become even bigger too.

Exron Music: Were there any unexpected or surprising moments related to the tracks on your list, whether they are your own or by other artists? Any unexpected fan reactions or collaborations that stood out?

My song, ‘I Became A DJ (ft. Bizzair)’ was a surprising song because I really love combining genres within EDM so bringing in the Hip Hop style parodic lyrics was a twist for my style of music but at the same time fitting. So many tracks in Dance music have funny or comedic lyrics, so for this track, I think pointing out that everyone in the world is basically a DJ now was fitting for this decade. It wasn’t a hit or diss at anyone in general, just a comedic take on the whole thing. It’s partially a story that has some connections to my life, but I have also been DJing for about 13 years now, so I started a little bit sooner than most people. But whatever, who cares!

Exron Music: Can you take us behind the scenes and describe the creative process or inspiration behind one of your personal releases that made it to your top list?

There haven’t been enough of my tracks to make a big list out of, but there is an unreleased song along with ‘I Became A DJ’ that required recording lyrics in my studio and I really enjoy bringing actual lyricists into my tracks. The recording part of music has always been my favorite. I went to school for music in 2013 so I have always loved bringing in real instrumentals and lyrics into music. I think as my shows get bigger, I want to incorporate more live instruments into them. It will be a full circle for me.

Exron Music: Can you share a track by another artist that you discovered this year and felt a deep connection to? What drew you to that particular piece of music?

I found the song ‘Die For You’ by Zedd at the beginning of the year and for some reason, this song is still currently one of my favorites even at the end of the year. I have always been a fan of Zedd and this song has a crazy combination of a lot of his styles which I’ve always loved. It’s a weird combination of Electro-House, Bass House & Tech-House. It fits so well, and the lyrics are good too. I know it’s a remix from a video game and that also makes sense because Zedd did a Tetris remix long ago which I always loved too. I wonder if I can find a way to use that within a new setlist. I just have to find more of a current style drop that would fit with it because I just don’t think people get down to the Big Room/Electro House anymore. Though I wish they did! I will always love Electro House.

Exron Music: Are there any particular musical influences or experiences from the year that you believe are reflected in your selection of top tracks, whether they are your own or by other artists?

I just think my music and style I enjoy fit closely with Bass House. In the recent question, Electro House will always be a favorite of mine and I think as my musical journey grows, I will find a way to combine so many of my favorite genres into one like Zedd does. I like to use Spotify to show me songs from underground artists that make Bass House because, with all of my shows, I want them to be filled with talented unknown artists so the sets are fresh and new just about every time. So, no particular experience has influenced me more than my own. Just going out and watching what crowds dance/cheer the most to, I try to adapt that to be my own and the style of music I create.

Exron Music: Can you share any memorable anecdotes or stories related to the creation or performance of one of your personal releases or a track by another artist on your top list?

During my shows, almost every single time, I play some sort of crazy remix from the Emo era of music from like 2010. I see a lot of performers and DJs miss out on chances to have a huge crowd singalong. Lots of people have migrated from the Emo days to Dance music. So, I love to create and mix up a few different songs to make a crazy moment where everyone sings and then the drop completely blows people away. I just did a show on 12/9 here in Los Angeles where I used ‘Dirty Little Secret’ by All American Rejects and it switched to an amazing Bass House drop that no one knew was coming and everyone cheered when it hit. Those are the moments I want to create in every one of my shows.

Exron Music: Looking back on the year, do you notice any common themes or motifs that run through your top tracks, or were they intentionally diverse in style and sound?

Well, I have only a few tracks that have been released, with more in the pipeline, but I truly love combining Hip-Hop with Dance music. The ‘I Became A DJ’ song has been released, but I also have something similar but more serious ready to rock. I want to do something different that isn’t too far off but has a style people can enjoy. More to come, I hope!

Exron Music: How do you feel your music has evolved or changed over the past year, and do your top tracks, whether they are your own or by other artists, represent this evolution in any way?

I have taken production much more seriously and for me, it isn’t about releasing a ton of tracks, it’s now about releasing quality like the professionals so I as an artist and brand can be taken seriously. I took a long break from producing to get more into shows and build a local fanbase here. Once that started to build, I now release top-quality tracks, with some label releases in the works, in addition to playing incredible shows here. So, I evolved more seriously as an artist, DJ and performer. It’s important to me to be as serious and professional as I can but at the same time have my own personality and brand.

Exron Music: What message or emotions do you hope your audience takes away from your selection of top tracks, whether they are your own or by other artists, as they wrap up this year and move into the next?

I don’t know if there is a message really. I always liked making hard-hitting tracks that slam the dancefloor in the club; I definitely want to make music so that people get the “stank face” when it drops. The message should show the hustle I have put in over the last 13 years to make this a profession. I am ready for the next steps; I’ve been craving it and worked so hard to become the best artist I can be.
