Miami has outdone itself for Art Basel yet again, begging the question: what were the best parties during a week of non-stop musical talent?

Art Basel 2023 didn’t just captivate the art world; it also set the city ablaze with an abundance of talented DJ acts. From tech house to techno to minimal, this year’s parties undoubtedly elevated the Art Basel experience to unimaginable heights. Disclosure Presents Friends & Family @ Club Space (12/5)

The iconic duo Disclosure definitely lived up to its hype as they ushered in Art Basel week with a night for the books.  Going all out on the Terrace with a Rolodex of acts such as Chloe Caillét, DJ Tennis, and Green Velvet, the crowd certainly experienced the treat of a lifetime. With such world-class talent tag teaming on the decks, there was truly never a dull moment all night and morning.

Revival vs. Mvson @ The Ground (12/6)

The night featured some of Brazil’s best up-and-coming talent, Beltran and Classmatic, along with breakthrough minimal artist and resident jokester ChaseWest.  While the Terrace was obviously jam-packed for John Summit x Fatboy Slim, the Ground equally overflowing with eager faces and even more immaculate vibes.  Needless to say, this may have been one of Club Space most poppin’ nights to date.

Richie Hawtin and Sama’ Abdulhadi @ M2 (12/7)

It’s not every day that you get the opportunity to witness a pioneer in the techno scene like Richie Hawtin in the flesh.  With support from Palestinian techno artist Sama’ Abdulhadi, the pair took the crowd on an incredible sonic journey.  M2 has welcomed some top-tier talent since its opening, and Richie Hawtin is surely one for the books.

Music On & Solomun @ Club Space (12/8-9)

Boasting hours on end of unreal beats from world-renowned techno veterans Marco Carola and Solomun, Music On brought a level of heat to Miami that the crowd could barely handle.  A testament to their staying power in the industry and uncanny stamina, these two maestros held the crowd in place for a whopping 21 hours.  For those who witnessed these techno Jesus in action, Christmas definitely came early this year!

Circoloco Miami @ Factory Town (12/9)

Internationally recognized for its decadent lineups and top-notch stage production, Circoloco Miami truly outdid itself this year.  With major names such as Dixon, Seth Troxler, and Peggy Gou, the expansive venue was absolutely teeming with giddy concertgoers.  Known for its iconic sunrise sets, Factory Town was unbelievably packed until 7 am.

Having grown up just an earshot from Ultra Miami's venue Bayfront Park, it was next to impossible for me not to fall in love with electronic music. My love for music was evidently strong enough for me to write my college essay on festival culture and continue attending Ultra for 10+ years now. I have always had a knack for writing and the power of words, which I continued cultivating through a Philosophy degree in college. Now, I am finishing up law school and hope to merge my passions by working in the music industry. I am an avid traveler and am certainly not afraid to hop on a plane for a music event. My next bucket list items to attend are Tomorrowland in Belgium and ADE in the Netherlands. Though the list could go on forever, some of my favorite artists include Franky Wah, Kevin de Vries, Eli Brown, and John Summit.
