Keys N Krates to Drop New Album with Feature Track From Ciara

Keys N Krates announce new ciara feature on a track from their upcoming album in:tension expected to drop this fall.

Keys N Krates, the Toronto dance music trio, has just released the house track “I Can’t Make You Love Me” featuring bluesy vocals from Dana Williams. The track is the last expected single release before their third album ‘IN:TENSION’ debuts on November 10. The song makes space to let go of all inhibitions in the rise and fall of the instrumentation in the energetic track.

The album has promised to continue the thumping bass and soulful percussions of their latest single releases. The 12-track album will include an unexpected feature from Grammy award-winning singer Ciara. The R&B singer is slated to be featured on the third track “Fantasy,” a combination of the group’s House influences and their love for R&B and trap-influenced 808s in their music.

This will be the first House music track for the Atlanta native Ciara. She has already found success in other genres including R&B and pop music throughout her career. Her collaboration with Keys N Crates is fitting for how the group has been able to complement R&B vocals without drowning them out behind the bass and whirling synths. The album also features collaborations with the R&B duo Lion Babe, Taite Imogen, and Aaron Carl.

Keys N Krates has never been afraid of experimenting with their sound. The group went from heavy basses and 808s to fusing the sound with even more tribal House and funk elements. The song “What You Done” featuring Rochelle Jordan is a soft approach to the House, funk, and R&B sound expected to dominate the album.

The group has continued to innovate their sound with their latest album inspired by dance music veterans Masters at Work and Armand Van Helden. The album IN:TENSION is expected to continue to explore more of the future of the House music genre while also paying homage to their inspirations.

As we count down the days until the album release, fans can catch Keys N Krates on the ‘IN:TENSION’ tour this fall. Keys N Krates is known for having energetic, dance-heavy sets full of floor rattling House mixes. As shown in their past set at Elsewhere in Brooklyn, the group maintains a commitment to getting fans on the floor and lost in a night they will never forget.

Hi! My name is Destine and I found a love for House and EDM through my time in the NYC dance community. My favorite thing about music is how it brings people together without having to say a word. Some of my favorite artists include Kaytranada, Kelela, Shygirl, and Uncle Waffles.
