Exron Artist To Watch: Cyazon

Time travel is alive and well with electronic artist-on-the-rise Cyazon, who mixes heavy synths, hard-hitting beats, and haunting melodies to create the music of our dystopian future.

Listening to Cyazon’s music immediately transports one to an alternate reality, or perhaps more fittingly, to a futuristic world. Imagine running through the streets of Blade Runner’s Los Angeles, fighting in the arena of The Hunger Games, or diving into The Matrix, and you’ll have a pretty good idea of the emotions and images Cyazon’s moving tracks produce.

The cyberpunk artist first burst onto the electronic scene in 2019 with the release of his single ‘Inception.’ The track marks the strong musical point of view Cyazon has had since his own artistic inception (and yes, pun fully intended), showcasing his unique mix of dubstep-inspired drops and heavy synth work to create the soundtrack of the future.

2020 saw the release of a slew of singles from the artist, most notably ‘Neo Soul.’ The track, a collaboration with fellow electronic artist Essenger, made its debut on Monstercat and racked up over a million streams on Spotify, launching Cyazon to critical acclaim in the underground scene. In fact, with the support of Monstercat, Cyazon gave his first live DJ set on the MCTV Live Stream channel and landed himself on the front page of Twitch

This tremendous growth has only continued for the innovative artist, with the last couple of years seeing the releases of a wide array of singles across major labels like FiXT and Bass Rebels. Cyazon released six tracks in 2022 alone, including ‘Fascinate Me,’ ‘Netrunner,’ and ‘ARC,’ the latter of which brings an electro-house influence to Cyazon’s signature sound.

Cyazon Artist

His latest release, ‘Virtual Spirit,’ solidifies Cyazon’s rightful place in the realm of futuristic cyberpunk. Similar to releases in the past, visuals serve an important role in the artist’s musical journey. Cyazon’s Instagram is chockfull of futuristic imagery including dystopian cityscapes, flashing neon, and murky lighting. To tease the release of ‘Visual Spirit,’ Cyazon posted a series of visually stimulating short videos following a “red virtual hologram” through space and time.

There’s no doubt that Cyazon is an artist to watch. If the future sounds anything like Cyazon imagines it, we should both proceed with caution while also getting ready to dance until the end of time.
