Duffrey Makes SSKWAN Debut with Legend of the Alley Cat EP

Denver-based producer Duffrey creates omnitemporal psychedelic trance with the release of his five-track ‘Legend Of The Alley’ EP.

Woody Klann, known as electronic music producer Duffrey, is known for his unmatched groovy energy, rich instrumentation, and bold confidence in converting brainwaves into tangible vibrations. The experimental bass artist is not afraid to play around with other genres including Midtemp, Dub, Four on the Floor, and Drum and Bass.

Liquid Stranger’s label SSKWAN continues to grow as a label with unique sounds such as Duffrey. Most would say the results are comparable to a timeless trance filled with light-hearted energy.

Duffrey’s five-track ‘Legend of the Alley Cat’ EP showcases jazz-inspired music seamlessly integrated with an array of atmospheric downtempo bass. Each beat is calibrated with a grounding presence that can be supported by its deep bass lines and beautiful harps that ripple each song into the next. 

The electronic music producer personally shares that ‘Legend Of The Alley Cat’ is written with love from the deepest corners of his heart, aiming to create a grounding moment away from the chaos and madness he has been experiencing lately. Furthermore, the eclectic producer describes the EP as “a tale of hope and happiness in a disorganized world. Standing up to the dark with the light from within. Spreading that light to grow and to allow others to grow as well”.

The experimental bass album introduces its foundation with an ethereal resonance in “Divine Nonchalance” and “Sideways Alley Cat”. The tension and beauty within chaos make a gracious appearance through the dense vibrations felt in “Jazz Hands” with its grueling growls, deep ripples, and blissful bass lines.

The anticipated ‘Legend Of The Alleycat’ EP is expected to be released on February 23rd. If you did not get a chance to see Duffrey throw it down as his two sold-out shows in Denver, you still got until the end of May to officially stamp that “I witnessed Duffrey play before he blew the heck up” clout card.
