Unitea Launches Augmented Reality Rewards with Claude VonStroke, Deorro, Said The Sky and More

Unitea showcases a dope new augmented reality for EDM fans around the world.

Unitea is best described as a cross between blockchain technology and Tik Tok, a media platform dedicated to various forms of interactive augmented reality. It is the first-ever “engage-to-earn” social media platform that allows fans to interact with their favorite artists, while also accruing democratized goodies. Users of the Unitea app create short, ingestible videos to the soundtracks of their favorite artists in exchange for blockchain-authenticated, artist-centric rewards and experiences. The application encourages users to “Create, Connect, and Collect.” Cha-ching!

In a recent Instagram post, Unitea’s account shared the details of its latest project with the EDM community. “Create unique content with Unitea’s first-ever Augmented Reality filters and objects!” The post also tagged all the relevant artists, making sure to denote which DJs were engaged with the project. For this most recent project, the DJs included Claude VonStroke, Said The Sky, Yung Bae, Ravenscoon, Kendoll, Codes, Bear Grillz, Sunsquabi, DJ Diesel, and Deorro.

For Claude’s augmented reality, Unitea users can overlay their video content with Dirtybird’s egg logo and watch as it hatches into a cute bird cartoon. Denver’s Said The Sky touts a video overlay with his signature logo, while Bear Grillz’s filter allows the user to adorn a neon, striking bear mask. DJ Diesel’s AR features a roaring gorilla and Deorro’s showcases a rose. All of the filters are fun and charming, offering an interactive experience for fans.

Similar to Instagram’s “Reels,” Unitea has a feature called “Vibes,” which allows users to create short videos that they then sync to a track from Unitea’s massive music catalogue, inspiring fans to vibe to their favorite artist’s music. When a user creates a Vibe, they receive an artist-specific “Karma” token, which can be redeemed for those previously-mentioned artist-centric rewards and experiences. As an example, Illenium distributed signature jerseys to dedicated fans while John Summit hosted a tequila tasting on Groove Cruise. The rewards can include meet and greets, event tickets, VIP upgrades, physical prices, merchadise, and so much more!
