Night Tales Deliver an Electrifying Set at Doug Fir Lounge in Portland

Night Tales performed an unforgettable show at the Doug Fir Lounge in Portland, Oregon for their Proof Tour

Night Tales made a stop at the Doug Fir Lounge in Portland, OR for the second to last show of their Proof Tour. The Australian artists Kamaliza Salamba and Aaron Bannie are the two members that makeup Night Tales. Every once in a while a show comes along that reminds fans why they love electronic music, and this duo is a fresh reminder of that feeling.

Opening up for them was MODERA who began the night with some sweet progressive house music. Which included songs by talented artists such as The Lastings and RÜFÜS DU SOL. MODERA warmed up the attendees and brought the people onto the dance floor in time for Night Tales.

Night Tales began the night with a theatrical opening of flashing lights that flowed into their first song “Thinking About You”. The energy of their stage presence was infectious from the moment they stepped on the stage to their last song. Additionally, Salamba’s electrifying voice is one of a kind and was entrancing to experience.

They went on to perform many of their amazing songs such as “Phoenix” “Friends”, and a fan favorite “Patient”. There was not a single person on the dancefloor who was not dancing and enjoying their time. A most memorable moment included three friends who had their arms on each other’s shoulders swaying back and forth to the beat.

Bannie played on the percussion pad and sang backup vocals while also manning the MIDI controller. One could really feel the passion from each member of the group during their performances. Especially during their performance of “Move You” which they had amazingly flipped into a more upbeat house track.

Not only was the performance of their songs euphoric they were consistently engaging with the crowd. The crowd was asked to repeat song lyrics with them and to raise their hands and dance. At the end of the night, they returned after cheers of encore and had the crowd focus inward and do some breathing exercises during the last song.
